Weber County has been my home my entire life. It’s where I was raised, where my family built its roots, and where I have had the privilege of serving as your County Commissioner. I love this community and the people who make it such a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

 

As your commissioner, I work every day to be a strong advocate for taxpayers. Families, seniors, and businesses are all feeling the impact of rising taxes, inflation, and increasing costs of living. That’s why I have focused on responsible budgeting, reducing unnecessary spending, and making sure the county government operates efficiently. Here are just a few ways my work has benefited Weber County residents:

• Supported law enforcement. I oversaw the completion of a compensation study and swept the budget for savings and reallocations to give the Sheriff's deputies the competitive pay they deserve, all without raising taxes. By prioritizing public safety and managing county resources responsibly, we improved compensation for our deputies while protecting taxpayers from additional tax burdens.

• Saved taxpayer dollars and improved communication by bringing public relations in-house and eliminating redundant positions. These actions saved over $370,000 per year while giving residents more direct, timely, and transparent communication from their county government.

• Streamlined meetings and processes. By improving efficiency and reducing unnecessary bureaucracy, we've saved valuable staff time and helped county employees focus on serving residents.

I am running for reelection because I believe Weber County’s best days are ahead. As our world changes, we must protect the qualities that make Weber County unique—its natural beauty, strong neighborhoods, outdoor recreation, and small-town character. I want to ensure that future generations, including our children and grandchildren, have the same opportunities and experiences that have made Weber County such a wonderful place for us to call home.
